Spicy, sweet and all things neat, Weird Wood is a late-night alternative variety show boasting the biggest award winning stars on the scene. Hosted by ‘demonic David Bowie’ Aidan Sadler as part of their Pleasance takeover, the show is a tornado of the hottest talents to come from the cabaret and variety circuit.

So for one night only buckle up, simmer down and indulge in variety debauchery!

Lachlan Werner

Lachlan Werner is comedy's poof prince of puppets. A fast rising star ventriloquist, clown and live artist, he was runner up for LGBTQ+ New Comedian Of The Year '22 and a nominee for VAULT Comedy Breakthrough Award and the ISH Best Newcomer Edinburgh Comedy Award. His solo show Voices Of Evil has been a total sell out hit at Soho Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe, VAULT Festival, Pleasance London, Brighton Fringe, London Clown Festival, winner of ReviewsHub Best Show Award, and nominated for an Off-WestEnd Award and Soho Playhouse New York Award. He can frequently be seen yelling at himself with a small squishy witch. He is graduate of Ecole Philippe Gaulier and a member of the clown company, Pointy Finger.

Posey Mehta

Posey Mehta is an ‘endlessly creative and subversive’ (FringeBiscuit) newcomer to the alternative comedy and cabaret scene, blending character comedy, clown and burlesque to ‘unhinged’ (Ed Fringe Review) effect. Their cult-hit comedy debut, I Am Not A Gorilla, racked up multiple five-star reviews to become the 22nd highest reviewed comedy show of last year's Edinburgh Fringe (British Comedy Guide).

Lady Lydia/ Dolly The Clown

Splits, flips and breathtaking tricks that stun and amaze, Lady Lydia is the leather clad queen of circus and cabaret. A household name and one of the youngest ever artists in residence at the West-End's Proud Embankment, Lady Lydia delights and titulates audiences around the world with her signature circus and cabaret skills. Having trained with the Olympic gymnastics team, Lydia has been featured on TV and worked with global brands such as BBC News, Sky News, ITV, M&S, Glastonbury Festival, Atomic Bombshells and La Clique Circus. Her skills are highly sought after by celebrities and she has performed alongside Denise Van Outen, Bill Bailey, Years and Years, Duncan James, Rachael Stevens and many more.

Bard the Beholder

Bard the Beholder is London’s masked extraterrestrial drag creature conjuring worlds within words. As seen in The Vault's Witches of Oz and Mulan Rouge, as well as cabaret's finest shows by The Enby Show, The Bitten Peach, and beyond.. hide your skins, Bard is crawling into town!
